Yokohama Tire reinforces its standing in the off-road racing scene by welcoming Isenhouer Brothers Racing to its esteemed team. Chris and Nick Isenhouer will run a race version Yokohama Tire on their Spec Truck. The collaboration will be showcased at the renowned King of the Hammers (KOH) race, where Yokohama’s off-road team is set to compete across multiple categories, relying on the rugged GEOLANDAR off-road tires.

Andrew Briggs, Yokohama’s VP of Marketing & Product Management, expressed enthusiasm about the new alliance, stating, “Nick and Chris Isenhouer bring not only an extraordinary off-road racing skill set but also a deep understanding of marketing, content creation, and the off-road culture. We look forward to seeing their prowess with our GEOLANDAR tires, both on and off the racecourse.”

Isenhouer Brothers Spec Truck Will Run GEOLANDAR MT-R

Nick Isenhouer shared his excitement about joining the team and running the Yokohama GEOLANDAR MT-R Tire on their Spec Trophy Truck. The brothers share a mutual passion for victory that compliments the brand’s rich history in motorsport tire technology. The Isenhouer Brothers are slated to compete in the KOH Desert Challenge Spec TT class, equipped with purpose-built GEOLANDAR MT-R 40X13.50R18 tires, while Levi Shirley takes on the 4400 class with the same robust GEOLANDAR MT-R tires.

“We are pumped to put these new 40-inch GEOLANDARs, not only on the racetrack but also out in the rocks for some 4×4 adventuring this year,” Isenhouer said. “Working with a team that offers such a versatile tire is extremely exciting!”

Levi Shirley emphasized the tire’s versatility, stating, “For King of the Hammers, you need to have a well-rounded tire: we’re doing everything from desert racing to sand climbs to extreme rock climbs. I’m proud to be running the Yokohama GEOLANDAR tire for the King of the Hammers 2024 Race of Kings and am confident in this tire’s capabilities.”

The Yokohama team boasts additional drivers such as Jonathan Brenthel, Jordan Brenthel, Apdaly Lopez, Bailey Cole, Kyle Chaney, Wayne Matlock, and Kristen Matlock, each equipped with GEOLANDAR tires tailored for their specific race categories.

Beyond the racetrack, Yokohama and partner Warrior Built Foundation are co-sponsoring combat veteran Jay Schwab in the KOH Everyman Challenge 4800 Legends Class. Schwab will compete on GEOLANDAR MTs, underscoring Yokohama’s commitment to supporting veterans.
