The off-road industry is home to epic personalities and vibrant characters. Shred-head dudes like Blake Wilkey, and his off-road friends get noticed by reputable companies looking to attach themselves to colorful individuals. Heat Wave Visual is a California-based Based independent eyewear brand that makes some pretty rad stuff and does wild stunts to promote their products. Desert Thunder is Heat Wave’s latest move that highlights their association with Nick and Chris Isenhouer, Darren Parsons, Dylan Schmoke in a blazing tribute to retro action movies and perhaps a nod at the blockbuster Days Of Thunder flick.
Even though this short production does not star Tom Cruise, there is a new up-and-coming boot kicker named Dillon who is unforgettable.
Desert Thunder – A Heat Wave Blockbuster Video
The video description plays out and presents a narrative that I would be keen to pay to watch. The Heat Wave executivess are after the next big thing. Begrudgingly, they have given Dillon (Boots on the Ground) the green light to produce their summer 2022 blockbuster.
With attention spans at an all-time low, and the mass spread of sub-30-second videos, Dillon ignores the trends and insists on doing things his way. Armed with the largest Heat Wave film budget to date he brings the boys (Nick + Chris Isenhouer, Darren Parsons, Dylan Schmoke) and even Optic Helicopters together in an attempt to complete his big action epic.
The heat is on, the sun is down, and dust is flying. Will Dillon be able to deliver? Or will his attachment to analog spell disaster for the project? Find out as the crew white knuckles through the explosive action in DESERT THUNDER.
Boots On The Ground
We all love heroes but what about the anti-hero. I do not know if that is the best way to describe Dillon, A.K.A “Boots on The Ground”, but this unique Heat Wave spokesperson plays a purposeful role. Watching his videos, and interviews are oddly entertaining. Admittedly, I laugh at his unruly and awkward interactions, but I am uncertain if I am finding him humorous, or something more cynical. His awkward spectacle interviews are like watching a slow-motion train wreck. You want to look away but you just keep watching.
I find the unique approach with Heat Wave’s collaboration and Boots On The Ground to be fitting and worthwhile. Give him a follow if you do not already on his IG @helmofterror.
Authentic Fire Power
It is super cool to see dudes like these become legitimate platforms that a major sun glass company. Heat wave has been known to hang their hat on the young go getters that are self-made. Like Wilkey, Darren Parson, and the Isenhouer Brothers, turned their passion for off-road into full-time careers. Building and sporting radical off-road vehicles for a living is not an easy gig. These dudes do it at a high level so the support from Heat Wave Visual is warranted.
Similarly, Heat Wave was founded by two cool dudes who like to party, but are also serious about motorsports, off-road racing, and all things Gambler 500 life. Justin Hertel, and Doug Karlson sought to bring something more to the table in the eyewear market. The brand they created brings an original, affordable and customizable sunglasses platform on a level never before offered.
The result is a colorful brand, awesome styling, and quality customizable products. The rocking marketing promotional efforts like Desert Thunder Blockbuster hype videos are definitely and added bonus.
